I'm not sure what to think about this..

Today I was given 5 or 6 compliments on my appearance. That doesn't normally happen.
I had to do a presentation to the SA Chicken Meat Council and thought I would make an effort to look as professional as I could. So, I wore a black dress with a shirt and straightened my fringe.
Did I look so much better than my normal, still-acceptable self or do I need to consider that others were telling me to look at my standard 'uniform' of Jacqui E black pants, shirt and wet hair bun?
I'm not sure on this one.
